previously on doctor who

Huh.

That’s probably a valid point. The Doctor’s not sure they know. “I guess I work in mysterious ways.” That doesn’t really answer their question, though.

“What’s wrong?”

Right, so. This isn’t their intended destination at all. Awkward. “Uh. Look, you’re not going to believe this because because it basically never happens,” the Doctor starts. You know, cause they’re so super clever. Did they mention they’re a total screaming genius? Cause they are. Generally speaking. Anyway.

“But… I made a mistake.”

The Doctor mentioned having a wife once, in passing and probably not on purpose. Later Shelby had pressed them out of curiosity; but they’d waffled so she’d dropped it, figuring the answer was ‘dead’ or ‘estranged’. She thinks she’s been traveling with the Doctor for about a year, yet she’s never seen this woman before the last adventure. Something about the way the pair interact, though, gives her a hunch this might be who the Doctor mentioned.

It’s absolutely none of her business, but she’s curious if she’s right. What sort of person romances the Doctor?

“So…” Shelby ventures. “You and the Doctor, eh?”

notes on canon divergence
  • time lords are not humanoid. their true forms - which do regenerate - are typically monstrous and horrific, masses of tentacles and eyes with body parts that exist in different dimensions from one another. the doctor “wears” a humanoid meat-suit so all those funny little species that aren’t from non-euclidean hellscapes don’t go mad just from looking at them
  • the meta-crisis doctor never happened
  • the alternate ninth doctor from the scream of shalka did happen, however
  • the eighth doctor fought in the time war. the war doctor doesn’t exist (sorry jo.hn h.urt!!)
  • speaking of the 50th anniversary, all that happened. gallifrey stands!! however, the doctor did originally destroy it. the events of the 50th created a new timeline and erased the old. but the doctor also still remembers using the moment and burning everyone
  • clara never encountered the doctor on gallifrey. clara did not choose the tardis. the tardis chose the doctor.
  • every incarnation of the doctor has been blind since near the end of their 12th. the monks took their sight back when they left the planet. however, as blindness is a spectrum, every incarnation experiences blindness differently

multi-muse indie rp blog for a future incarnation of The Doctor and their companions

  • set several incarnations following the 13th doctor
  • heavily influenced by the doctor who expanded universe
  • most things are canon, but this blog is also canon divergent
  • oc and crossover friendly
